VoIP (pronounced voyp), also called IP Telephony, Internet telephony is the latest and newest technology in telephony. VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol, and it is the routing of voice conversations over the Internet or through any other IP-based network. It converts analog voice signals into digital data packets and supports real-time, two-way transmission of conversations using the internet at a much lower cost than using traditional phone lines.
